Hawaii Pacific University Pacific Island Student Organizations:
HPU is a university with students from richly diverse cultural, ethnic, and national backgrounds. HPU has a wide variety of more than 70 student organizations in six categories; academic and professional; cultural and religious; service; special interest; activity; and honor societies. The following are Pacific Island groups are especially active in HPU's annual spring cultural celebration, Intercultural Day.
Hui Aloha `Aina Ua Kukulahale This Hawaiian club is designed to promote awareness, education, social stimulation, knowledge, and interest in the Hawaiian culture, as well as other local cultures, for all interested students, faculty, and staff.
Samoan Student Association This club is designed to promote goodwill and understanding of Samoan culture and heritage, and to provide assistance for Samoan students at HPU in handling culture shock, making friends and becoming oriented to Hawaii, and to represent HPU's Samoan student population in the outside community.
Tongan Club This club strives to foster a close relationship between students of Tongan origin, educate the HPU community about the Tongan culture, and contribute to the Tongan community in Hawaii.
Magkaisa- Philippine Student Association This club was created to unite and uplift the identity of the Filipino students at HPU, club members promote their culture through cooperation in activities, projects, and performances with other schools and community organizations.
