I am a 45 year old female who is in desparate financial trouble.  Do you know
of anyone that would give a loan to someone with lousy credit who promises
to repay.  I only need about 3000.00 to get my life back on track.  Please
help me.
Thank you,
TW

Aloha 'E TW,
Thank you for writing. There are a few places I can think of that you can check.
There is First USA, one of our sponsors who may give you a line of credit. Next,
you can go in to the search engines and type out "personal loans with bad credit".
There are several places globally who are willing to take the risk with you. The
only problem with these places is their high interests rates.
One more thing, most banks and financial institutions know that we all experience
financial problems now and then. They see it everyday. They normally take a person
at face-value by their honesty and sincerity at wanting to get back on their feet. I'm
sure the local banks in your area will be sympathetic and willing to help you.
Please keep me posted on what turns up. Okay?

Aloha 'E Neni,
Hi. I'm having a problem with getting over my ex-boyfriend. We were together
for three years and he cheated on me with a good friend of mine. After he found
out I was seeing someone else when we brokeup, he came back into my life. This
has been going on for four months now. He says he is not ready to get back with
me yet but I feel like my life is over without him. I can't eat, sleep and all I do is cry.
I don't know what to do without him. I really need to get over him but I can't.
Please if you can help me I really need it.

Aloha 'E K.B.,
You did not tell me very much. I am assuming you are in High School and
that you are between the age of 14 and 17. If you are in school, I recommend
you visit the school counselor for his/her advise. Secondly, I urge you to talk
about your situation with your parents or any family member or close friend. And
finally, my suggestion is to find some kind of activity to keep you busy. This
will take your mind off your ex-boyfriend and start you back on-track to being
yourself again. Please keep me posted. I want to see you through this ordeal.

Aloha 'E Neni,
My husband and I just moved to Hawaii. He is having a hard time finding a job.
Can you give us some suggestions?

Aloha 'E Pearl,
Believe it or not, the state of Hawaii is still in an economic slump. My only
advise to you and your husband is to go out there hit the asphalt. Look everywhere.
Secondly, I suggest you visit a Kinko store and get on-line. Check out the on-line
sites, such as: headhunters.com, jobs.com, CareerGiant.com and others. Please
do let me know if things work out.

Aloha 'E Neni,
I'm new to Hawaii and I want to drive. I have a valid driver's license from
my home state of Kansas. Is it valid here in Hawaii?
Thank you. Alex H., Oahu (e-mail)

Aloha 'E Alex,
According to my sources at DMV, your Kansas driver's license is good in
the state of Hawai'i for as long as it remains valid.

Aloha 'E Neni,
There's this cute boy in my class that I want to make friends with. I'm a shy person and I can't
seem to bring myself to come near him or strike-up a conversation. Got any suggestions?
Thanks. Christie. Kau'i (e-mail)

Aloha 'E Christie,
Most young people are shy because they lack confidence in themselves and their abilities.
My suggestion is to act naturally. Pretend he is someone you already know.
A 3rd party friend can help, too. Try it out and let me know the results.

Aloha 'E Neni,
At what age do you recommend a couple get married? My boyfriend is 23 and I am 19.
Please respond.
Thank you. Carol. New Mexico (e-mail)

Aloha 'E Carol,
I normally recommend that young people wait until they are financially secure and mature.
What age? That can be any age, so long as it's legal in your state or country.
Too many are getting married at an early age (immature & financially insecure)
which end up in divorce or separation.
